DC Drives
Overview
Control Techniques offers two DC drive
series that enable customers to deploy productive, easy-to-use
motor control solutions. The Mentor MP series is a
reliable, flexible and powerful digital DC drive family, available
both in non-regenerative and regenerative configurations. Quantum
MP is a packaged Mentor MP with added DC loop contactor,
high-speed input fuses, 115 VAC control logic and DC output
fuses on all regenerative models.

Mentor MP is Control Techniques' 5th generation
DC drive and integrates the control platform from the world's
leading intelligent AC drive, Unidrive SP. With its on board PLC
the Mentor MP is the most advanced DC drive available, giving
optimum performance and flexible system interfacing capability.
*Note: The Mentor MP is
currently available up to1850A (UL approved to 900A). Parallel
operation extending the power range to 7400A will be available
in 2011.

The Quantum MP delivers a DC drive package that
integrates the control functionality of the Mentor MP
with a design that incorporates a DC loop contactor,
high-speed input fuses, 115 VAC control logic and DC output
fuses (on all regenerative models).
